Travis Scott‘s “Sicko Mode” has secured its spot at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. The track has been on the charts for 17 weeks, trailing just behind Arian Grande’s “Thank U, Next” at #2 for the past four. A recent remix by Skrillex boosted the song’s streams by 35%, making it Travis’s first #1 hit on the Billboard Charts.
“Sicko Mode” was the second single released from his most recent album ‘Astroworld’. Its ascension to #1 on the charts marks a huge milestone for Travis Scott’s career, and many celebrities, including Ariana Grande, congratulated the Houston-bred artist. Travis took to Twitter to express his excitement and gratitude:
“I don’t know how I’m writing this right now … it’s so many emotions. Just super-thankful to all the fans and supporters. Me and Drake been working to make something so crazy for the kids. It’s dope that one of our illest collaborations just went No. 1. I just want to thank him and the whole OVO fam for everything. And love to Skrillex!”
According to Billboard, Drake, Swae Lee, and the late Big Hawk, who were featured on the track, will not receive recognition on this #1 hit because they are not officially billed on the song. However, Travis surely appreciates their contributions in helping him secure his first #1 hit.
