After Drake’s informative interview with LeBron James and Maverick Carter on the HBO hit show “The Shop,” it was only a matter of time before Pusha-T came forward to clarify some of the details that were still hazy. Pusha-T was featured on Joe Budden’s podcast and came with an attitude just as open as Drake’s in regards to discussing their previous beef. The high point of the show was when Pusha divulged the true identity of the person who leaked the information about Drake’s then unknown son. It was not Kanye West, but Drake’s trusted friend and frequent producer, Noah “40” Shebib.
In Drake’s interview he was sure that it had been Kanye West that had told Pusha about his son, whom he intended to keep private until the release of his album ‘Scorpion.’ The song “March 14th” from the album was a tell-all rap confession, on which he discussed his son, the reason he had kept him a secret from the public, and the nature of his relationship with his son’s mother, Sophie Brussaux. However, Pusha-T’s diss track, “The Story of Adidon,” beat him to the punch.
As it turns out, Kanye West did not reveal this information to Pusha, despite the fact that Drake had played him the track. Pusha clarifies:
“The information came from 40. It didn’t come from Kanye, at all. 40 is sleeping with a woman, who begins to… he talks to her daily. Five, six hours a day… And ultimately speaks about how he’s disgruntled about certain things, notoriety and things involving Drake and his career, and so on and so forth. With that also came the fact that Drake has a child. With that also came the trip that everybody took to go see the child, and bring him gifts, and all this information. She divulged this information. That’s where it came from.”
Pusha only decided to speak out again as a result of Drake’s passion over the MS lyric that Pusha included in his diss. You can stream the entire interview below!
