One word: Wow! Kendrick Lamar stole the show with his performance at the 58th Grammy Awards last night! While performing his “The Blacker the Berry,” he seen walking in shackles in a prison environment, which symbolized slavery and being incarcerated. After he switched to perform his hit ‘Alright,’ Kendrick goes back to the motherland while performing with African dancers and symbolism of Africa in the scene. He ends the performance displaying the word ‘Compton’ on the map of Africa.
The rapper received five Grammys for Best Rap Album, Best Rap Song, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, Best Rap Performance, and Best Music Video.
