In honor of their fiftieth anniversary, Woodstock has announced a revival show that will attempt to recreate the iconic 1969 music festival. Dubbed Woodstock 50, the festival will reportedly be taking place in August at the Watkins Glen International Speedway in Watkins Glen, NY.
Among the various rumored performers are Jay-Z, Chance the Rapper, Halsey, Miley Cyrus, The Killers, Santana, Imagine Dragons, The Raconteurs, Bishop Briggs, and many more artists. Though nothing has yet been confirmed, the lineup for the 50th anniversary of the historic music festival is expected to be epic.
There were concerns as to whether or not the festival would be taking place due to rumored financial issues. Woodstock co-founder Michael Lang recently shut these rumors down, stating
“We have excellent partners and an incredible talent lineup of over 80 artists which will be announced within the next couple of weeks. We’re preparing a once in a lifetime event.”
Stay tuned for the release of the official lineup for Woodstock 50!
