On Sunday over 50,000 gathered at the Manchaster “One Love,” charity show in remembrance of those who lost their lives in the city’s terrorist attack at singer Ariana Grande’s concert last month.
Grande, along with artists such as Pharrell Williams, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Mac Miller, Katy Perry, Coldplay, Niall Horan, the Black Eyed Peas, Robbie Williams, Little Mix, Marcus Mumford, Imogen Heap, Take That and Liam Gallagher were among the list of performers at the event hosted at the Old Trafford cricket field.
Pupils from Parrs Wood High School choir joined Grande in an emotionally beautiful reindemption of the singer’s record, “My Eveything.”
With an original goal of $2M, the benefit concert raised over $3 million, in addition to the fiances made for the British Red Cross totaling a now $12 million.
According to the British Red Cross, the funds raised will “help alleviate immediate suffering and ensure victims and their families do not face short-term financial difficulties.”
All donations given throughout the concert from around 450,000 individuals, will go to the “We Love Manchester,” Emergency Fund.
