After recently opening up for Migos, 22-year old Pittsburgh artist Tairey returns with his first release of 2018, “Nothing New” which features fellow Pittsburgh artist Hardo.
“Sam Conturo, Nice Rec and I were working on beats and Nice Rec played these chords that I really liked. I could tell by the tempo of the chords that Sam was gonna add some crazy drums to it” – Tairey commented to Mass Appeal.
“While they were building up the beat, I wrote my verse and the chorus. I was supposed to write a second verse for it, but then I felt like it would be more interesting to have two perspectives on this track (instead of one). Something told me Hardo would sound crazy on it & I wasn’t wrong (laughs). I saw Hardo at the studio one day as he was leaving and told him about the song. He loved it and the rest is history.”
