American actress, singer, and rapper Lizzo took her talents to NPR’s Tiny Desk, and her performance has everyone raving. Dubbed one of the best ever performances on the show, Lizzo brought humor, astounding vocals and personality unlike any other.
Lizzo opened up with a few light-hearted comments about the “tiny a** desk,” and then proceeded to share that she’d wanted to be on the show for a long time. She kicked off the performance with “Cuz I Love You” off of her debut album of the same name. Her profound vocals had the audience in awe, and the a cappella intermissions gave everyone life.
Lizzo proceeded to perform her Top 10 hit “Truth Hurts.” She then showed off her flute-playing abilities before closing off the performance with “Juicy.” She gave out a self-love mantra at the end, stating:
“If you can love my big black ass at this tiny, tiny little desk, you can love yourself. Hallelujah!”
