H.E.R. released the visual for her song “Could’ve Been” featuring Bryson Tiller yesterday (Nov. 2nd). The track comes from H.E.R’s EP ‘I Used To Know Her- Part 1‘ which released in early August.
The video matches the song’s somber tone. It is shot entirely without color, instead opting for black and white shots, and scenes with a red tint to them. In the video, we see Bryson and H.E.R on different sides of a love that’s been lost. We see clips of them happy together, presumably earlier in their relationship. For the remainder of the video, they are alone miserably lamenting the past relationship. Towards the end of the video, they meet again, and choose to walk away from each other, It appears that despite the fact that they are each clearly heartbroken without the other, they still believe being apart is for the best.
