Dave East was featured in a recent upload by Tim Westwood TV. The rapper got on the mic and spit a freestyle that showed off his skill and the ease in his flow. This all comes after the release of his two singles, dubbed ‘Survival Pacc,’ that were unveiled ahead of his forthcoming album with Def Jam and Mass Appeal Records.
The freestyle touched on various topics, but primarily served as a means to offer the late rapper Nipsey Hussle, who lost his life this past March. After Nipsey’s death, Dave East held a candlelight vigil in New York City on the Monday after the rapper’s death. East has previously assisted Nipsey on his track “Clarity.”
Dave East honoring Nipsey in a freestyle does not come as a surprise, as the rapper’s loss weighed heavy on nearly everyone in the industry. The freestyle also included tributes to several of Dave East’s other fallen friends.
