While #BlackLivesMatter becomes a hot topic yet again, several artists are inspired to write music behind the movement, including one of our favorite Compton natives, YG.
While fans await YG’s next album, they will play ‘FTP (F**k the Police)’, almost similar to his past controversial hit ‘FDT’ featuring the late Nipsey Hussle. His last album was released in 2019, which contained hits such as ‘In the Dark’ and ‘Go Loko’.
YG’s ‘FTP (F** the Police)’ communicates with his listeners by connecting and sharing his heartache and anger towards police brutality. “F**k the police, that’s how I feel / Buy a glock, burn down the block, that’s how I feel,” he raps. “Murder after murder after all these years / Buy a strap, bust back after all these tears.” Listen to YG below, and share his music to reach the ears of those who choose to ignore the hardships the black community is facing.
