It’s time to get in your feelings.. again. Nearly two years since releasing her breakthrough project ‘FEELS,’ Snoh Aalegra is back with a follow up, fittingly titled ‘Ugh, those feels again.’ The 14-track project was executive produced by No I.D. and officially released this past Friday (8/16).
Though this second project highlights the R&B sound that we loved in her first, it features a slightly more upbeat tone. Her sound has clearly evolved, as everything from the beat, to the vocals, to the overall feel of her music is notably more complex. Regarding this album, Snoh told Ebro on Beats 1 Radio:
“I would say the first half is a little more happy and then the B-side, the second half of the album, goes back to the old FEELS a little.”
The 31-year old Swedish-Persian artist released her first project back when she was 18. Her sound has come a long way since then. She shared:
“It’s shaped me a lot and given me thicker skin and I really appreciate everything good that’s coming for me. And I’m happy that I didn’t make it when I was 18 ’cause I probably wasn’t ready for it then. I would maybe lose my head.”
