Singer, songwriter, and producer Souly Had has just released a new single titled “Hills” through Island Records. Souly signed a six-figure deal with Island Records back in February.
Local to upstate NY, Souly Had has developed a unique pop/R&B that he has been working on since the age of 16. As a student at Community College, he began by creating his own beats out of the “dope music” he would find on Youtube. According to a press release:
“As he began working with Entreband, his cohort Tom C Bumpz, and local platinum-selling producer Purpdogg, Souly Had combined rapping with more R&B-styled singing, experimenting with melodies and arrangements.”
Back in 2017, Souly released his track “Déjà vu,” which was then retweeted by a major influencer and amassed 10,000 views in less than 24 hours. It was at this point that he began to see music as a feasible career. In regards to his streaming numbers, Souly shared:
“They kept climbing up and climbing exponentially. I don’t want to waste any time. I want to keep on point. I don’t want to keep fans waiting.”
