On her newest track, “Unsaid,” emerging R&B songstress Miesa tackles the unspoken truths left in the aftermath of a breakup. The track, released via Siri Music Group/Orchard/Sony Music, is the debut single off her forthcoming EP.
The track features production from Manzur Zafm, who’s previously worked with the likes of Mary J. Blige, Monica, and Whitney Houston. The repetition of an old-school reminiscent guitar riff lays a strong, but subtle foundation for Miesa’s silky smooth expression of her relationship woes.
“Without honesty, there really can be no closure, which is why this song feels so personal,” said Miesa. “We don’t always get to be honest with someone that we are in a relationship with and sometimes when we do, it’s already over.”
Though Miesa’s career is still very much on the rise, she has already made her mark on the R&B/pop scene. Her 2017 EP, When Love…, debuted in the top 10 on iTunes and her single, “Overdrive,” made Urban Radio’s top 20. Fans can expect to hear more of the ups and downs in relationships on her upcoming EP.
