To celebrate his 41st birthday, Max B, who has been locked up since 2009, has released a new single featuring French Montana entitled “Hold On.” This is Max B’s first release since the 2011’s ‘Vigilante Season.’
The upbeat track brings Max B’s 2000s style into the modern era while still invoking a hit-worthy flow. He and long time friend, French Montana, flow over a beat that includes a sample from Sade’s 1988 track ‘Nothing Can Come Between Us.”
French Montana recently spoke to Beats 1 Radio’s Zane Lowe regarding Max B’s incarceration, sharing that he and Kim Kardashian were going to help get him out of jail. HE stated:
“Me and Kim was talking about getting Max B home from jail. ‘Cause she’s doing the whole thing with…So, like for her to even reach out and do that I felt like that was powerful.”
