Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter, multi-talented, and producer Jon Batiste is another artist to celebrate the meaning of Black Lives with ‘WE ARE: A REVIVAL’, which is a live performance in conjunction with Sing For Hope, an organization that brings music and hope to schools, veterans, and community members.
Batiste was joined by his band members and friends on June 12th to offer inspiring music and words to help the community unite. ‘WE ARE’, was released through Verve Records featuring the St. Augustine High School Marching 100, Gospel Soul Children led by Craig Adams, Autumn Rowe, David Gauthier, and Braedon and Brennan Gautier.
Batiste produced ‘WE ARE’, as well as Pomo and Kizzo. The track was executive produced by Ryan Lynn. “This music is meant to feed your soul. I was supposed to wait for the album to put this song out, but ‘WE ARE’ is for my people. It’s for those who are struggling through this time and who are fighting for change – for those who have hope. It’s a reminder that they are the light on the other side. I feel like my people would appreciate music like this right now.” Followers will continue to support artists who stand up for BLM.
