Following the release of 3 critically-acclaimed EPs, singer-songwriter Jacob Banks announces his eagerly-awaited debut album Village via Interscope Records.
The Nigerian-born Brit delivers his lead single “Be Good To Me” ft Seinabo Sey. Produced by xSDTRK and Laleh Pourkarim, the track is a liberating exploration of love and longing that showcases both Jacob’s and Seinabo’s soulful vocals. “Be Good To Me,” as well as previously released tracks “Chainsmoking” and “Unknown (To You),” can be downloaded instantly upon album pre-order.
Village is Jacob’s first full-length album, following his self-released The Monologue EP, The Paradox EP, and his Interscope Records debut The Boy Who Cried Freedom. Working alongside renowned producers including Paul Epworth (Adele, James Bay, FKA twigs) and Malay (Frank Ocean, Sam Smith, Lorde), Village is a collection of 14 original tracks that chronicle Jacob’s experiences and takes on life with narratives that are both personal and universal (see full track listing below).
Jacob states, “Village is about celebrating the things that make us who we are, the good, the bad, and the questionable.”
Village is expected to be released on November 2nd.
