J. Cole Gives Us More Of What We’ve Been Missing, With Two New Tracks
J. Cole is back with never-ending realness, ‘The Climb Back‘ and ‘ Lion King on Ice‘ are from his highly anticipated album, ‘The Fall Off‘, and his flow is better than ever. So far, there is no set release date for the album.
“Everything come back around full circle/ Why do lies sound pleasant, but the truth hurtful? Everybody gotta cry once in a while/ But how long will it take ‘fore you smile?” J. Cole raps on ‘The Climb Back‘ track and listeners can’t help but to nod their heads at every word Cole speaks.
‘Lion King on Ice’ reminds of J. Cole’s mix tape days, and listeners can’t get enough. “Celebratin’ all your first downs like they touchdowns bring a price/ Young Simba had the bustdown, yeah the Lion King on ice/ Ni**as wanted me to look the part, had to stop takin’ advice...” Recently, the father of two opened up about retiring from what his fans feel like would be a short rap career, “I could possibly be hanging up my jersey, leaving nothing on the table when all was said and done.”
