From guitar solos to jazzy piano riffs, Louis York revealed their true colors to the world: unorthodox, musical ingenuity with catchy hooks that you’ll be singing for days on end, and today the duo just dropped another EP.
Chuck Harmony and Claude Kelly have been the masterminds behind countless hits that everyone has heard of. From Miley Cyrus, Bruno Mars, and Kelly Clarkson, to Britney Spears, they have more experience in the music industry than one could ever dream to have. They’re your next favorite artist, and they are ready for the spotlight.
The Grammy-nominated duo originally met back in 2009, and they made a grand appearance on the front stage when they released Master Piece Theater: Act I last year as their debut EP. With recognition from Billboard, LA Times, and many others, this project paved the way for their success. Through a combination of talent and passion, Louis York proved themselves as a dangerous team by writing and producing every corner of their music, along with even playing all of the instruments. Now the duo is preparing to drop the next installment EP Masterpiece Theater: Act II.
The first single, “Don’t Play” stands out as it gives you the real taste of what makes Louis York so original. With 4 minutes and 42 seconds, “Don’t Play” blends so many different genres that it’s hard to compare it to any other song. Louis York brings a dance vibe to center stage as Kelly sings to an ex whom he is still close to. “It’s kinda crazy at times it’s perfect, I’m in between love /So long, I wondered what happened to us”. The lyrics throughout the track paint a story to which most of us can relate, and Kelly’s smooth vocals are just icing on top.
Masterpiece Theater I introduced the world to a fresh new face and style in the music industry, and now with the second installment, Louis York is finally getting the true credit it has worked for. The passion and confidence Kelly and Harmony represent are transparent in Masterpiece Theater II, and each song is better than the last. With their first big introduction to the world as an artist in the rearview, the only direction Louis York can go is up, and this new EP will propel them into success. Masterpiece Theater II is available now via their label Weirdo Workshop. Be sure to look for yourself on what all the hype is about.
