Maroon 5 member PJ Morton has officially release his latest solo album, titled ‘Paul’ after his own first name. The album was preceded by the hit track “Ready,” which released a few weeks ago on July 23rd, as well as “Say So” featuring Jojo, which released back in February. ‘Paul’ is the follow-up to his 2017 solo album, ‘Gumbo.’
The 10-track album features collaborations with some very impressive artists, including Rapsody, Jazmine Sullivan, JoJo, and more. Full of soulful melodies and vocals, the album is fitting from PJ Morton, who is one of alternative R&B’s biggest names out right now.
‘Paul’ serves as PJ’s fourth LP release since 2016, when he moved back to New Orleans. He has also since started a music label, received various Grammy nominations, winning the 2019 Grammy for Best Traditional R&B Performance. He calls the album ‘Paul’ the “purest form of who [he is].”
