Grammy-nominated rapper Nipsey Hussle sat down for an interview with LA radio station REAL92.3 this past Friday (3/8). In the interview Nipsey revealed his thoughts on newcomers in the rap game, artists he’d like to collaborate with, and a big project that is in the works for this summer.
Nipsey confirmed that his next release will definitely be an album, stating:
“We working right now as we speak. We on album time right now. Next thing we going to put out musically is an album.”
Later in the interview, Nipsey confirmed that his upcoming album would be a joint project with Meek Mill:
“We’ve been cutting ideas and just getting in. We got a couple records that’s going to go off for the summer. It’s not hard at all we just got to lock in and get the records done.”
Meek Mill seemed to confirm this in a Tweet this past Monday (3/11), in which he quoted an article discussing the project and added the eyes emoji. Both Meek and Nipsey’s 2018 albums, ‘Championships’ and ‘Victory Lane’ (respectively), were strong releases and it will be interesting to see how these prominent personalities in the rap game come together on this album.
