With his album presumably around the corner, Chance the Rapper has given his fans a preview of what’s to come. In a recent social media post, Chance shared a heartfelt dedication to his wife on the anniversary of their engagement. It featured a video of photos and clips of Chance and his wife, Kirsten Corley, throughout the years. The video also featured clips of their daughter, Kensli.
A smooth, equally heartwarming track played in the background of the post. Fans took thes as their first look into Chance’s follow-up to ‘Coloring Book,’ which released back in 2016. He sings: “Oh my god, think it’s the greatest day of my life. So glad you arrived, but the only way to survive is to go crazy.” Chance revealed that his wife had a lot to do with the creation of his upcoming project in a post back in April, which was captioned:
“My wife gave me the go ahead to put everything else on hold and really go to work on my debut album. Its been a lil hard at times, I obviously miss Chicago and family and working on other stuff, but there truly is no joy like making a project. Somehow I always forget that i’m so, so good at this.”
