Beyoncé is joining the Adidas brand as a creative partner, she and the company announced Thursday. This announcement comes after it was announced that Beyoncé is working on a Netflix special that’ll focus on her 2018 Coachella appearance.
“This is the partnership of a lifetime for me,” the music superstar said in a statement. “Adidas has had tremendous success in pushing creative boundaries. We share a philosophy that puts creativity, growth and social responsibility at the forefront of business. I look forward to re-launching and expanding Ivy Park on a truly global scale with a proven, dynamic leader.”
Beyoncé continues the trend of musicians signing with shoe companies of which the list includes: Rihanna working Puma, Kendrick Lamar working with Reebok, and Beyoncé’s husband Jay-Z working with Puma as well.
Adidas will be collaborating with Beyoncé for her own signature collection and will expand on her own active-wear brand Ivy Park.
