In the hip-hop world filled with only a few recognized female emcees, 20-year-old Jazz Anderson, daughter of reality TV star Tami Roman, is working to add her spin to the rap game. Inspired by the likes of Kanye, J. Cole, and Lauryn Hill, this lyricist is bringing her own youthful approach as well as her own style to light. As she works to release her upcoming project due out in the fall, Jazz held an exclusive party to premiere her new single, “All I Want.” She has put much focus on studying the dictionary and thesaurus to enhance her songwriting.
Her passion for hip-hop as a craft is something she wants people to take seriously, especially being in such a difficult industry. Jazz has been featured on many popular hip-hop sites such as Hip Hop Weekly, Worldstarhiphop, Globalgrind, etc., and has performed on famous stages like Webster Hall. So far, Jazz has opened up for Travis Scott, OG Maco, Kevin Gates, and Jacquees. Being that Jazz is based out of Houston, she has features with other popular, well- respected Houston artists such as the Sauce Twinz and Ray Face.
“All I Want” (prod. by Kat St. John & T.A.) has great delivery with her punchlines, something that is not always taught or learned. Her rapping is incredibly natural, making the track flow smoothly. This hot track is impressive, helping Jazz gain steam as an artist.
Jazz has over 25,000 followers on both Twitter (@ItsJazzAnderson) and Instagram (@JazzAnderson). Her Youtube (Youtube.com/jazzanderson) has developed great exposure. On Soundcloud, she is become a fan favorite averaging over 100,000 listens. Purchase her new single, All I Want here.
