Introducing Our Featured Artist of the day, singer/songwriter, Kemmyé.
Born Jessica Robinson in Los Angeles, CA, she was raised in Houston, TX. From a young age, Jessica realized her passion for music, while often performing at talent shows and church events. By the age of 10, she began writing her own original songs.
In the spring of 2012, the R&B/pop self taught songstress, made her first demo cd composed of original songs. This is when she gained experience in the recording studio.
Following in the successes of her musical influences, such as, Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, and Aaliyah, Kemmyé hopes to achieve putting out timeless music, “My long term goal in music is to sing as long as I can and leave a great legacy for artist and many the artists to come. What I have to offer musically, is music that people of any age can relate to without any age barrier,” she says.
Kemmyé’s latest single entitled “Ain’t worth fighting for”, is set to be featured on her upcoming EP, which is expected to drop spring 2018.
“I’m a very ambitious person. I work hard for what I want and I want it the way I visualize it. I would not settle for the good, my standards are to be outstanding. It is a journey soon to unfold”, says Kemmyé.
