Mexico-based French indie alt-pop artist Felyce released her debut EP “Fear” on June 15, 2018. After releasing tracks for free online for the past few months, the singer-songwriter Felyce shared the title-track of the project, “Fear”.
Self-produced, the EP is a mix of Felyce’s inspirations: electro-pop, folktronica and trip hop. Of the EP, Felyce says, “I wrote most of the songs in a matter of weeks, I was really inspired”. This EP depicts the journey to acceptance of one’s aspirations and differences. It sounds like a blend of her vulnerability and strength to take action.
The single “Fear”, out on June 15th and released independently, is an electro-pop/RnB track. The 25-year-old singer, songwriter and producer Laetitia a.k.a Felyce grew up in a small town near Paris, France. Her earliest musical influences come from her mother’s very eclectic music tastes. From Madonna to Youssou N’dour, she was introduced to many genres from a very young age. Felyce started writing songs as a teenager but decided to make it into a career in 2016 while working a corporate job after graduating university, an experience that inspired the theme for her debut EP.
