Fresh off his appearance on the 2016 BET Hip-Hop Awards cypher edition, where he was joined by rappers Ms. Jade, Kur, Dave East, & Young M.A, we caught up with New Jersey rapper Sam Black in his hometown Jersey City, NJ to find out what he’s currently working on, his journey to success, his experience being on BET & more.
Hailing from Jersey City, NJ, the 34-year-old rapper grew up on Lexington Avenue in Jersey City. He went through his trails & struggles on the streets of Jersey but it didn’t stop the rapper from pursuing his dream. Sam won the national Sprite Hot 16 Contest where he has been given the opportunity to freestyle alongside a group of artists at the annual music awards show, which jumpstarted his career.
He also just released his video for his single “Ryder,” inspired by 2 Pac’s ‘Ambition of the Ryder’ track. Check out his recent project titled ‘451′ on Google play, Spotify, iTunes, Tidal, and Amazon.
