Usually, when Lovethistrack selects someone as a “Spotlight Artist”, we do just what was said—we select! However, due to the website expansion, which is associated with our continuance and commitment to supporting artists whether they’re mainstream, up-and-coming, or independent. We are now working to incorporate a cool measure that will allow fans to select who should be in the “Spotlight Artist” section. Yes! That’s right! You submit whom you like and why, we analyze it for filtration, and then talk about it. So whom are we talking about this week? Ladies and Gentleman! Our Spotlight Artist is Bryson Tiller!
Bryson Tiller is a humble assassin all the way out of Louisville. We could talk about all his music but that would defeat the purpose. You see! Tiller had been putting in work for a minute while using Sound Cloud as his main platform. He had been remixing tracks and doing what any other up-and-coming artist would do, which is— try to “get on”. Of the tracks he remixed, some of the ones that stood out mostly to everyone’s ears were Kendrick Lamar’s Poetic Justice, which he flipped the title naming it Poetic Bullshit and Drake’s How bout now. Those two alone showcased his versatility and his vocals. However, when he gave the world, Been that way, Just Another Interlude and Set you Free, fans, ladies and even the fellas were all convinced that Bryson was not only talented, his overall sound was unconventional as well.
Whenever it comes to Music, despite the different genres, every artist has that one breakout song that creates massive exposure. Usually when a song comes out from an artist your not very familiar with, questions like “Who is that”, “Where did they come from”, and “Who are they affiliate with” comes into mind. Thanks to Google, they have made that process easy because of their vow to providing ultimate musical resources. However, sometimes a simple Google search may not be enough and in this case it’s not. Yes, sure you could google Bryson Tiller, but if you needed help in regards to what links to click on, we highly recommend that you go to his SoundCloud page and press play. We can assure you that you’ll become an immediate fan.
Who is Bryson Tiller though? All we know is that his song Don’t is flooding the airwaves right now! In fact, it’s so crazy because when fans were sending us links to his music that was actually one of the most talked about songs. Not to mention, the incredible emphasis they placed on Bryson’s opening line to the first verse, which said, “Don’t play with her, don’t be dishonest/Still not understanding its logic”, which is something that all ladies could relate to. The crazy thing is that, Don’t was one of the first records we heard at LoveThisTrack and even we were intrigued by the opening line as well. Obviously, other rappers are impressed also because rapper, Drake wrote him a personal message via twitter expressing his love for the song. Aside from that, he currently has a creative partnership with RCA records and is set to release his project Trapsoul October 2nd. However, if you are feeling like everyone else, then you can pre-order it on iTunes.
Do he have longevity? Here at Lovethistrack, we stray away from cliché sayings, dare to be different, and feel that everything should be supported with facts. We put a lot into giving our opinion on an artist and there destiny. In terms of Bryson Tiller—he will have an outstanding career. First and foremost, he has the total package! He can sing, rap, and draw. Those three elements alone can open up many avenues for anyone. Look at Drake! Secondly, his musical perspective will catch anyone’s attention. He talks about scenarios, situations, and things that anybody, despite their age can relate to. In a world where females are the biggest consumers, it’s obvious who his biggest supporters are. Of course its good when the fellas love you, but when the ladies love you, that’s even better—ask Trey Songz and Chris Brown. Byron Tiller will become a household name that will be branded in all aspects. His sound is amazing and we can see why there were so many emails and links regarding this young man. He is 22 years old and already on his way.
His new debut album “T R A P S O U L” is available today on Apple Music!
