Just six months after the release of his debut album ‘Harder Than Ever’, he is back with his sophomore project. The LP, entitled ‘Street Gossip’ released yesterday (Nov. 30). The Atlanta rapper has seen much success since his songs “Yes Indeed” and “Drip Too Hard” garnered popularity. “Yes Indeed” featuring Drake peaked at number 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart, while “Drip Too Hard” found its way to number 4. He returns on this album pushing the same energy that we saw on his previous project.
The album includes features by big name rappers such as 2 Chainz, Offset, Meek Mill, Gunna, Gucci Mane, and Young Thug. It consists of Lil Baby’s distinct trap/rap style, while highlighting his undeniable ability to create bangers that are upbeat and addictive. The dope beats coupled with his carefree yet calculated lyrics make for a lively and energetic album, and an overall enjoyable listening experience.
On Lil Baby’s 13-track sophomore album, he continues the formula that ascended him to fame so quickly. He consistently gives his fans the radio anthems that they want to hear, and has been doing so since he was still releasing mixtapes in his early years of rapping. He has solidified his spot in the rap game, and it appears that he is here to stay.
